What Are Eyelash Extensions?

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions are single or multiple strands of synthetic eyelashes applied to a single natural eyelash. Eyelash Extensions create a longer, fuller, and bolder lash look. Gingery Esthetic carries multiple lengths, thicknesses, and lash curls designed to fit any clients everyday needs.

Great-looking lashes must be touched up every 2-3 weeks. Grown-out lash extensions are removed and new lash extensions are applied at every appointment. It is imperative to follow proper aftercare and schedule maintenance appointments.

How Long Do They Last?

Are Eyelash Extensions Safe?

Yes, Proper isolation is essential when applying lash extensions and initial appointments take longer considering most individuals have hundreds of natural lashes. I always ensure correct isolation and will not compromise your natural lash health to go longer or fuller than your natural lash can handle.

Who Is Not A Good Candidate For Lash Extensions?

Unfortunately, sometimes lash extensions aren't for everyone. Here are a few reasons to avoid lash extensions..

  • Oily Skin

  • Hormone imbalances

  • Some medications

  • Trichotillomania

  • If you can't commit to every 2-3 week appointments

  • If you can't commit to washing your lashes daily

Tips for the BEST Lash Retention

Please come to every appointment with clean lashes free of mascara and oils. If you wear contact lenses, please remove them prior to your appointment and bring your glasses to wear after your appointment to give your eyes the opportunity to adjust. Also, please avoid drinking any caffeine or take any pre-workout substances.

How Do I Take Care of My Investment?

Maintaining natural lash health is extremely important to me. In order to protect your natural lashes, I ask that you wash your lash extensions daily with a lash extension safe cleanser and brush them with your disposable mascara wand provided to you after every service.

Please avoid the following:

  • Picking your extensions

  • Rubbing your eyes

  • Sleeping on your stomach or with your face on your pillow

  • Direct water (You want to clean your lashes daily but avoid facing your showerhead)

  • Do not use mascara on your lashes

To have the BEST retention please follow the below instructions for proper cleansing.

Cleaning Your Lashes

HOW TO CLEAN:

  • Step 1: Dispense a small amount of lash cleanser and water to your fingertips and rub them together to make a foam.

  • Step 2: Gently massage your lash line with your fingertips (or a fluffy eyeshadow brush) in an up and down motion (not side to side) for about 30 seconds per eye. You do not need to be aggressive with this step, as long as you are removing oils and make-up from your lash line you are cleansing properly.

  • Step 3: Once you have cleansed your lashes, splash your eyes with luke warm water until there is no soap present.

  • Step 4: Pat your lashes dry with a paper towel or a make-up eraser towel. A regular towel has a tendency to pull your eyelash extensions and can cause premature fallout.

  • Step 4: VOLUME LASHES - This step isn't necessary but it is important to note that you should blow your lashes dry with a cool setting to help fluff your lashes back up. Brush your lashes while doing this step.

Brushing your lashes daily with your spoolie will also help with lash cleanliness (brushing them does not replace washing your lashes) I will give you a new spoolie at every lash appointment so go ahead and toss your old one after your appointment.
